iRG ADDS TO ITS IMPRESSIVE LIST OF MANUFACTURER APPROVALS
The exciting development has seen iRG Cardiff become an Approved Bodyshop Repairer for Volkswagen Passenger Car, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle, Skoda, SEAT, CUPRA and Audi brands. It means iRG now holds 19 approvals across its network of seven branches.
Committed to continually investing in its staff and facilities, iRG Cardiff has benefited from the acquisition of new equipment in recent months in the run-up to gaining Volkswagen Group accreditation. This has included upgrades to its jig and measuring system and spot welders and the recent purchase of an ODIS diagnostic machine.
"As part of the Volkswagen programme, our highly-skilled technician team in Cardiff will be working through a training path with the manufacturer via both online learning and in-person courses at the Volkswagen Learning Centre in Milton Keynes," said Kieran Nowland, iRG's Compliance Director. "We'll be investing in additional tooling and equipment too over the next 12 months as we look to cement what we hope will be a long and successful partnership."
Around 20% of the 200 vehicles repaired at iRG Cardiff each month belong to the Volkswagen Group and Kieran hoped that achieving manufacturer approved status would significantly increase the number of cars passing through its doors for repair.
"To be a VW Group repairer is a privilege, but we are proud to represent each and every one of our manufacturer approvals," added Kieran. "With vehicle technology and safety advancing at an incredible rate, our status as an approved repairer will ensure that we will continue to move with the times and repair cars to the very highest standards – those required by the respective manufacturers.
"As a business with an eye very much on the future, we're currently in talks with a number of other prestigious brands so watch this space."
