This role covers repairs and replacements of panels from cosmetic to full structural. Measuring and Straightening Chassis Alignment to ensure each vehicle is safe to return to the road.

Duties Include:

Removal and Refitting of all vehicle panels, trims both interior and exterior

Removal and Refitting of Airbag systems, Lock carriers, electrical components etc where necessary

Ensure correct adjustment and alignment of refitting vehicle panels to specification

Repair vehicle panels using a variety of techniques to prepare the repaired panel for body filler

Removal and refitting of structural vehicle panels, to manufacturer specifications, identifying and using the correct Joining Techniques

Consultation and application of Repair Methods suitable for the repair task

Awareness/Identification of ADAS and Hybrid/Electric Systems

Comply at all times with Company Policies and instructions at all times, specifically those on Health and Safety, working safely and efficiently at all times with customers, colleague and suppliers

Adhering as well to rules regarding the use of PPE, Security, Parking and Driving onsite

Adherence to the Company’s Equal Opportunities and Diversity Policy at all times

Maintaining and upskilling current knowledge of the industry

Report immediately any breach of Company Policy, Equipment failure/damage, queries of concerns you have to your Manager

Perform in a suitable manner any other tasks and duties reasonably required of you

Skills Required:

Use of hand tools suitable for the role (DA Sander/ Hammer & Dolly etc)

Use of Dent Pulling Equipment

Use of Body Measuring/Straightening Jig

Use of MIG/MAG/Spot Welders (Certifications preferable, Training available)

Use of Riveting Equipment (SPR/BSF/Flow Form)

Familiar with Plastic, Steel, Aluminum repair practices and techniques

IMI or L3 C&G’s Panel Competency (not necessary but desirable, Training available)

Air Conditioning F Gas Trained (not necessary but desirable, Training available)

IMI or L3 C&G’s Hybrid Competence (not necessary but desirable, Training available)
